Getting Rid Of Fat
Getting rid of fat for me has become an obsession. The thing that really fires me up about getting rid of fat is that there is really nothing stopping me from doing it, except myself and my own weaknesses. So I have decided to start this website to share my experiences, what works and what doesn’t. I know I am not the only person who wants to change their life by getting rid of fat, so hopefully together we can do this.
Why I need to get rid of fat
I am soon to be forty three years old. Just typing that makes me feel old. For most of my life I was into fitness, running, weight training, golf, I lived a pretty active lifestyle. Somehow over the past several years, I have gotten away from being as active as I once was, and my weight slowly increased. Finally I decided that I had to take action. If I didn’t start making changes now, I may never have the chance. So I started to formulate a plan to assist me in getting rid of fat on my body and in my life. Here is a quick list of all of the benefits this decision has given me.
- able to increase my energy level
- able to lower my cholesterol level
- able to reduce my blood pressure
- experienced fewer nagging aches and pains in joints
- able to increase my mobility
- able to sleep better and feel more rested
- able to reduce my risk of suffering a heart attack
- able to reduce my risk of suffering a stroke
- less likely to develop blood sugar problems, like diabetes
- improved my self esteem, I look better and feel better
All of these benefits came from making one simple decision to get off of my fat butt, stop making

excuses and start exercising and eating better. The true story though is that I am no different from you or anyone else, we all have the ability to make positive changes in our lives and succeed in getting rid of fat, FOREVER!

What If You Don’t Change?
The health risks of not being healthier are staggering. If you are overweight, the odds of you dying before your time increase significantly. It is estimated that there are 300,000 deaths each year attributed to obesity. Many of this needless, tragic loss could be prevented by just making some simple lifestyle changes. Even moderate amounts of excess fat can increase your risk of dying from weight related issues. For individuals who are obese, (which means you have a body mass index greater than 30), your risk of premature death is at least 50% greater than if you lost the excess weight. I am not telling you this to make you feel bad about yourself, but to educate you. When I first read them I was obese, and they motivated me to make change. I hope that they will have the same effect for you. The best part is that most of this can be avoided and you are in control of the course the rest of your life will take, and how long it will be.

Getting rid of fat diet
I have been investigating every diet ever invented to find one that will allow me to get rid of the fat I have accumulated. You will find on these pages my results. I will tell you what did work and what did not seem relevant to my own situation. You can judge for yourself if my findings are relevant for you or not. There is no arguing the fact that a healthy diet is the first step to getting rid of fat, and the best part about it is that it is 100% in our control.
Getting rid of fat exercise
The second prong of my attack on my fat problem was to develop an exercise program that I had time for and that was effective. I chose to follow a program that included both aerobic and anaerobic exercises. I have and will continue to try different forms of these exercises and report my results here on the pages of this site. We will see which have more benefits in getting rid of belly fat. I do know that since I have sucked it up and started an exercise program, I feel better about myself and about life in general.
Getting rid of fat mindset
I think that the most important thing I have done is try to change my mindset. From the helpless victim, “I am gaining weight and there is really nothing I can do about it.” To one of positive energy, “I am in control of what I eat and how much I exercise.” It sounds simple, but if you are feeling like I did, it’s not simple, it’s monumental. To be able to maintain that attitude through all of the trials, ups and downs that life gives us is the hard part. I am hoping that my decision to make this lifestyle change to getting rid of fat will be permanent.
