Interval training is a great way to burn fat with cardio because it involves alternating back and forth between high and low intensities.  You can use this technique running outside, on a treadmill, using an exercise bike or eliptical machine.  Really any type of cardio activity.  Here is a basic guide for how to burn fat with an interval cardio training program.

- begin by warming up at a slow pace for five minutes

-Increase the pace slightly and the resistance,(if on a cardio machine), for two minutes

-Then increase the pace to a high intensity for thirty seconds to one minute, go almost as hard as you can

- Repeat the two minutes slow and one minute fast intervals several times, 3-10 depending on your fitness level.

-End your cardio workout by cooling down, nice and slow for five minutes

Using interval training as a cario training method will make your workout go by quicker, due to the constant changes, and th best part is that it will rev up your metabolism and allow you to burn fat at a much greater pace.
