Applesfood_that_burns_fat_apples

Apples are a great food that burns fat, to include in your diet.  An apple a day, helps burn the fat away!  Apples are truly a power pack of nutrition, made for you totally by nature.  They are high in fiber, have no sodium, help lower your cholesterol, make you feel fuller longer.  Apples will also help lower the cholesterol level already in your blood stream and help to lower your blood pressure.

Whole Grain Breadfood_that_burns_fat_whole_grain_bread

Whole grain bread is another food that is good for fat burning.  Now I know that many diets look at bread as the enemy to weight loss, but often times it’s what is put on the bread, butter, fatty spreads, etc., that are the real enemy.  Whole grain bread is a natural source of fiber and complex carbohydrates.

The secret here is eating breads which are dark, rich, high-fiber, like pumpernickel, whole wheat, mixed grain, and oatmeal to name a few.  The average slice of whole grain bread contains only  about 65 calories, has complex carbohydrates, a great fuel for your body, and is a great source of protein and is a food that burns fat.

Grapefruitfood_that_burns_fat_grapefruit

Grapefruit has been a staple of many diets over the years, and with good reason.  They are low in calories, about 75.  They provide high levels of vitamin C  and potassium, and they are totally fat free and sodium free.

Eating grapefruit on a regular basis helps fight fat, high cholesterol, hardening of the arteries and heart disease.  You can’t really go wrong here, enjoy a grapefruit in the morning and feel the benefits all day.  Please don’t ruin the benefits of this fine fruit by putting sugar on it.  If it is too tart, try a little cinnamon instead, so that grapefruit can really help you with getting rid of fat in your life.

Potatoesfood_that_burns_fat_potatoes

Can a potato really be included on this list?  Yes it can.  Potatoes have gotten a bad rap from many diet “experts”, but they are really quite a beneficial fuel for the body.  There is only about 85 calories in the average potato, they are rich in fiber and potassium.  Potatoes help to lower cholesterol and help protect against stroke and heart disease.

Why the bad reputation?  The preparation is key, you can’t eat a potato and expect to gain any of the benefits if you slather it with butter, mix it with fatty milk or cover it in sour cream.

Ricefood_that_burns_fat_rice

Rice provides you with many health benefits for fat burning.  It provides fast and instant energy, stabilizes blood sugar levels and provides essential sources of vitamin B1 to your body, builds resistance to high blood pressure, dysentery and heart disease.  Some even believe it is a vital food for healthy skin!

Rice is a staple crop in most countries around the world.  One cup of cooked rice contains about 175 calories, much less than the equivalent portion of cheese or beef.  Whole grain rice is even better for you than white rice.

Spinachfood_that_burns_fat_spinach

Popeye loved it, and for good reason, spinach will rev up your metabolism and burn away fat.  It also will lower your cholesterol.  Spinach is rich in beta carotene, iron and vitamins C and E.  It is pretty much a nutrient packed food that supplies you with much of what you need to be healthy.

Spinach is believed to help you protect yourself against osteoporosis, heart disease, colon cancer, arthritis, as well as being a food that burns fat.

In conclusion, I hope my list will help to inspire you to start implementing some of these foods into your diets, not only to lose weight but to reap the many benefits of the food that burns fat for your overall health and well being.
